The render took about 21 minutes at this size using light cache for secondary bounce. I haven't done a large render yet. Still working on the space and lighting and I need to come up with a pattern for the middle of the stone floor.
The wood is a dark cherry. The furniture pieces come in about 10 different wood species. I'll probably end up doing the render in several of them so the client can choose the one they want. Do you think a lighter color would match the scene better?
Light fixtures, magazines, plants will be added when they decide on the color scheme. The entire recessed ceiling is a light just behind the mullions but the client does not want it lit so I'll be putting cans along the edge.
It's a pretty fancy place, huh?!?! Nice render. I'd say some dark wood would look really nice, almost black, or some lighter yellowish kind would be cool too.
hong kong work fine!
render too I like it! It is possible to view a big size? I think that your smoothing render could be involved by a big render with details.
The first cylindrical furniture seems to flat but it's just my opinion
hi
looking good. I agree with trying some different timbers.
The background photo looks to be off perspective wise. I am not too sure what the round objects beside the chairs are either?
As for your tile plan; maybe you could simple reflect the ceiling pattern - especially to demarcate the open space from the lift lobby as I see happens in the ceiling.
I appreciate all the comments so far. This is still in the early stages and I will look at all the suggestions for changes.
I am definitley not an architect, as you can tell. They just want something fairly simple, yet kinda fancy. Hopefully, I'm not to far off base. I may remove the wood accents completely if thats what looks off.
The drums are "architectural accessories" that this client sells. They also offer cubes in a wide variety of shapes and finishes. The problem is trying to fit them with the benches they sell as well. They don't really go together but they want to show them in a single scene. This is for a catalog along with about 50 renders of the different furniture pieces.
As far as the background image, exactly why does it look strange? I've always had trouble with backgrounds. Should I rotate it to follow the lines of the window? Thanks again.
looking at the backgruund image it looks as though the horizon line is different from that of the render. you just need to adjust the bg image up and down till it matches the model. Sometimes curving the plane the image is on (if rendered in max) helps reduce distortion too
