Well, it could have been more polished given more time/budget but as with so many things, the client did not have the money and the deadline was too short to tweak basically anything, so in that sense it is a
one take project. This does naturally show, though is acceptable given the challenges it presented.
This is the result of choosing Vantage as really the only way to get all the shots both planned and rendered. It's also the result of all the forum posts trying to overcome some its
shortcomings and bugs, which are happily now fixed, though not in time for finishing this work, so we had to find many workarounds to force it to play nicely.
The cameraman had zero knowledge of Vantage and zero knowledge of 3dsMax, so that too was challenging. He was instantly ecstatic that he could so easily 'shoot' in realtime
and it's to Vantage's credit that it is so relatively easy to operate in this situation.
Thanks devs for making this possible

All of the shots were done in Vantage, including all of the kids/orchestra cards, in order to get their shadows etc.
The actual animated cards were then Vrayed and were problematic simply due to the 150+gb of video data, plus the problems we had trying to match timelines
and deal with matching the dof.
There's a load of Railclone/Forest of course, as the crowd could not have been done without that....60k people in the audience, made from just 15 unique models. Very pleased with how they came out, despite them
not moving
Client and all involved were overjoyed.
Job done.
