Hello my beloved Vray Fam!
It's been some time since my last post,
nonetheless te last few months have been propably the busiest ever for me.
Luckily CGI commissions went through the roof since the damn pandemic but also did i start a very interesting and amazing journey i'd love to tell you about in this post.
I'm a longtime follower of Beeple and Billelis on Instagram.
When they started posting bout NFT last year i didn't give much about it to be honest.
But like many others, with the sale of Beeples Art for Millions on the NFT market, it started to raise my interest.
In march, thx to the great video from 3D Gladiator (are ya in here?)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CFD_8oDxw1k
i decided to make an acoount on Rarible, then Foundation an ended up on OpenSea to mint my first own NFTs.
(yeah the NFT Space indeed is developing pretty pretty fast!)
But after two or three NFT mints, my crate of Artworks was already empty!
Damn, i realised i spent the last 15 years almost only doing client work!
So no big Archive i could pull out some Bangers easily.
At the same time i realised, Collections are a big thing in the NFT Space.
For example maybe the most prominent ones are Pixel Punks and Bored ape yacht clup (just google these terms)
Some of you may know my heart is burning for skateboarding.
It has so much history, originated a lot of trends in Fashion, Graphic Design and Music and is hotter then ever before (Olympics!)
So why not start a NFT Skateboard Collection!
That's when NFTYSKATEBOARDS where born back in April by me (all CGI Stuff) and my good ol friend Paul (classic Graphic Artist and Art direction)
A few months later we can say things started to roll very nicely!
Humbled and stoked, we have now close to 2000 Twitter Followers + a thriving community there.
We already created 65 cool skateboard NFT items,
every single one with a nice story or collaboration partners like Bands, Skatebrands and other incredible Artists!
Over 100 Skateboards have been sold and we turned around 3E in total. That's pretty dope and we're damn proud of it!

you can have a look at the whole collection here on Opensea:
https://opensea.io/collection/nftyskateboards
This is definetly the best and most fun project I have been workin so far.
I meet and connect so many talented and ambitious new creative people everyday like never before.
I'm writing this Post to encourage all creatives in here to have a deeper look at that topic as it can change your life overnight, beleive me!
I also realised there's not many of "us" (i mean CGI from like here and so) except fabio and bertrand, so where's the rest yo!
The best part of it, i can bring in all my skills i learned over the last 15 years of Vray into it and merge it with being a skateboarder for over the last 30 years.
Enough bla bla bla here's some examples from the collection:

Hope you like it and C U in the NFT space!
Much SK8 LOVE from Olika3D
