Hi everyone,
here are the final renders of my latest scene, I rebuild an old 3.6 project using Vray5 for Cinema4D and I had a lot of fun using all the new tools, version 5 really unleashed a new level of creativity and productivity
About 17 million polygons + render instances, everything modeled by me except for the olive tree from the Cosmos library, there are also a few scans using photogrammetry.
Textures and shaders build from scratch (I've also used some shaders from my Cinema4D/3DSMax material bundle).
For lighting I've used several setups, HDR (partially cloudy, blue hour and overcast), Physical Sun/Sky, area lights and IES for the pool lighting.
Post production done 99% inside the VFB and 1% in Photoshop, most times it's just tone mapping but in a couple of renders I used also Light Mix and Cryptomatte.
In this topic there are also some more images and details from the work in progress:

Hope you enjoy and as always constructive critics are welcome!
This is the first lighting setup, overcast and light rain:
