  • MAXXI Museum from Zaha Hadid

    Hi everyone,
I've prepared this scene for a free online workshop organized by Chaos and D2 for Vray5 for Cinema4D https://forums.chaos.com/forum/v-ray...mber-15-00-cet
I chose this building because I always liked it and because it is quite close to my home, so it was easy to go there for reference, details and texture acquisition.
Most of the work is already done but I'll add more details in the coming days.
Everything is modeled by me except for some Cosmos assets (trees and cars), textures are mostly done starting from on site photos. The scene is illuminated by many light sources, depending on the views I've used HDR, physical sun/sky, area lights, IES lights and a self illuminating shader for the neon installation.
Some views come straight from the frame buffer, in some other views I've also used PS for some very small tuning.
I hope you like the renders and even if the workshop is for Vray for Cinema4d it maybe interesting also for Vray users from other platforms, so if you have a couple of free hours you may still want to see the workshop
As said I'll still work on the scene so comments and constructive critics for improving the scene are welcome!

Before posting more views I want to share some 360° spherical panorama: https://roundme.com/tour/789686/view/2491223
There are several moods and if you want to play with different projections go to more functions>projections, some of them are very funny, I like both the Pannini and the little planet options:

Really lovely moods, though the night view, which though very cool, would look much better with a darker sky don't you think?
It looks almost as bright as the day shot

Very nice. The 360 almost looks like photos. Kudos!
