Here is a Kitchen rendering. This is for real estate sales/marketing. There will be some revisions, already getting requests for trying some different materials/variations from the interior designer. Any critique or comments are very welcome, I may be able to incorporate other improvements as this gets revised.

There are another 3 interiors and an exterior still to be done.

For me, this seems quite flat in areas, so possibly too overlit, ie. not that much contrast in parts.
The floorboards appear to be extremely wide but maybe that's intentional...looks a bit odd though, in contrast
to the scale of those bar stools, one or two of which you may wish to move/rotate a little to provide interest.
Maybe dim those kitchen spots, as that area looks overblown.
The right shelving section, so basically the right upper quarter, is working well imo, so maybe adjust from there?
I do realise you're working to client's plans/wishes so there's only so much you can do of course (those rsj beams don't help)

Nice work! I would agree, it lacks depth. Real estate people love everything bright, I get it, but it makes for a flat image.

Thank you both or your valuable comments!

Yes the flooring was much too wide. Corrected that.

As you say "real estate people love everything bright". I deal almost exclusively with real estate developers and their interior designers and architects. The real estate photographers have set the evenly lit look that is expected.

Below are two more versions with some modifications. I tried to help the lighting/contrast but they have already seen the one above and liked it so I'm reluctant to change too much.

Thanks again for your review, very helpful to me!

              • Is this area meant to be like a mirror, reflectionwise? The imperfection map is also way too much..looks dirty etc. Theres also some weird red coloration below reflected windows.
              • The area below the orange elephant on, I think its a glass shelf, i cant tell, theres weird dirt on window and wall, like you have added it in photoshop?
              • bump on the white chaise lounge is too much
              • metal beams smoothing looks wrong.
              • The table in foreground, does that need to be there and if it does is there meant to be glass in it?

Hi and thanks for your comments! Very helful.

The mirrors are supposed to be “antique mirrors”. Agree it’s hard to know what is happening with them unless you know they are supposed to be antique and maybe look at some images of antique mirror. The interior designer seems happy with how they appear.

Thanks for pointing out that red area under the reflected window. I know what’s causing it and will fix that.

th little elephant sits on a glass, shelf with the wall behind covered by antique mirror. Same as other side of fireplace. Anything “beyond” is actually a reflection.

I will look at bump on white daybed. Interior designer wanted it to like “like sort of old wrinkled leather”.she seems ok with it but not sure how close she has looked.

metal beams have led lights on bottom flange that shine up. Maybe too much chamfer on edges. Agree they look a little odd. I think they are going to be changed in location and maybe size so I will try to improve. The up lighting on the bottom flanges make it a challenge.

That is not a table inthe foreground. It is a railing around a stairwell. It has glass panels on each side of the corner.

                Thanks again for your review!
