I so struggle with interiors. Rendering times are always insane, and even then, tons of noise. For this one, I used Topaz De-Noiser, even after the V-Ray Denoiser. So, they are soft but done and the client is pleased.

Agreed about the denoiser...it's knocked out some detail but they still look really good.
Nice and bright and colourful, so I'm not at all surprised that the client liked them.

I think there is something wrong with the setup for this interiors. Lighting and materials looks odd. Everything has the same feel of grey, no real shadows/contrast, light is almost everywhere the same. Not sure why but it looks weird. Maybe this is why there is a lot of noise, dont know.

          I like these well done!

(for my clients, for that level of property, it wouldn't be cost-effective for them to have me create visuals - so I'm intrigued on the pricing side of things for interiors of that level of quality and building type etc).

(I edited my post because something didn't look right on the last but one image - it's the refractive index of that shower glass - it's bending what's behind it too much for my eyes, particularly the window frame - either way, well done!).

Yes, the glass bothered me too, but they didn't say anything, so I left it. For the price of these, all the images were $3,930, the library being the most expensive of them.

Thanks Bobby. Sounds reasonable and around what I would charge.

I just don’t get the kinds of clients that would pay that kind of money for those.

Most places are booked months out, so people booking for them can see what the room will look like. It is a small investment to get rooms booked months in advance.

Almost $4,000 for images like that? Or am I missing something?

I don't understand why you are having "insane" render times. If I rendered those on my older machine at 3800px wide, pretty sure the render time would not exceed 1.5 hours. Using vray de-noiser render element on mild setting the renders would be pretty much noise free. Esp for relatively bright images like that without dark shadow areas (those are usually the areas with the noise in my experience).

My setup would be vray sun/sky, put sky into vray dome light, instance sky into mat editor and check/select sun node (to be sure it's connected to your sun). Render buckets at default settings except for in vray render dialog under "Bucket Image Sampler" lower "Max subdivs from default 24 to 8. I even leave the noise threshold at default 0.01.

Use a mid gray overide material, exclude glass, set camera exposure where you like it, add interior lights. Maybe add a dreaded and much dis-approved of fill light if your clients want the image to be like a real estate sales photo.

Who am I to suggest to you but....maybe this could help?

Yeah, I use an HDRI, but other than that, nothing out of the ordinary. I try V-Ray's Sun/Sky setup, but it doesn't give me an image I like. I have a few more interiors coming, so I'll see if it was scene specific.

maybe test is use vray sky vs hdri. Put vray sun at low angle and try the diff filter modes like direct, override for different color effects…..also the new procedure clouds added in?
