good start mate...here's my 2p's worth

    looks rather flat
your cylinder with restaurant on it needs smoothing ( looks faceted )
the architraves look a bit chunky
there's no skirting at the junction of the floor/wall
your marble is a trip hazard

seems a bit dark to me as well given the ammount of windows but there doesnt seem to be that many lights either.

        thanks guys,points taken!
my problem is im worrying about lighting and skipping inportant things like trip hazards!!!
forgot to add its not my design, its a interior revamp of an exsiting building.and my client doesnt seem to bothered to supply me with lighting plans which is helpful.

natty, any pointers on the modelling please?if i dont ask i wont know

siliconbauhaus, what would you suggest to stop them looking flat?
im having a nightmare getting the lighting nice,do you think pump up the area lights, or more interior lights?

also the granite in the second one,do you lights shining on it look right?are they too bright.
and how come the reflections are not blurred with the dof?

i'd better stop now too many questions!!!!
thanks guys for sharing your time.jow
