    I sure hope that you are charging enough. Driving to the site is billable and should be at his expense. A photographer would charge a pretty penny to drive out to the site and probably for a hotel since he would be too tired to drive back . Oh, yeah, he had to eat too. I say this from experience.

      I am happy with what I am getting paid. I charged half rate for the 4.5 hours travel time and full rate for 4 hours of photography. The cost will, theoretically, be spread across 4 renderings. I have not had very good luck with hiring outside photographers. Expensive and it's difficult for them to understand what is needed. Heck, it can be hard for me to understand what is needed and then adjust to the reality of the site conditions and etc.

        Sounds like good'old exploitation to me! when you have to justify each and every move of yours.. just to provide enough food for the mouths.
