    Richard,

Great work. I saw some things in the press about the Tennison redevelopment. I was waiting to see what you guys produced.
I like the animation. Diffuse glow is great. Nice smooth camera movement too.

    Chris.

Dude this is one of the best animations I have seen in awhile for a stadium! I have 1 question! were do you guys get your animated characters? or people I should say! I'm very intrested in using them in some of my renderings!
          Thanks

            Great work! awsome!.

same questions as pshupe68 asked. We're trying to figure out what are the best AA settings to record on DVD, Vegas actually does a superbe work for web and PC but not a clue for DVD, any tips?

CarlosBZ: I usually render with Adaptive QMC and always without an AA filter if I know I will be doing post work.

Mathew: The People are AXYZ people, all the people are placed by hand. (it didn't take that long) http://www.axyz-design.com

Infrared digital: The Z-Depth Effect is standard Max Fog.

Hey Chris, how's it going, yeah the press release stuff was... crap, we were pressed for time.

fabrizio: The foreground stops where the tree line is - then its a displaced plane from an aerial photo with crude houses built on it - material by element - then a panorama photo for the distant hills, from the site - then a photoshop sky.

              thanks guys.

All right, sounds good but then, suppose you are doing post work, where do you apply AA? AdQMC is enough by itself? (Your answer implies no) My problem is that precisely I can’t find a good solution (AA wise) to bring smooth animations to DVD. For instance, Vegas can do that job? I just need a guide, a little push on the right path, just that.

I apologize if I bother you with these questions, judging what you achieved I found you have the answer.

Well I use AQMC 1-4 if I have very fine lines a sometimes use 2-8 but you can get away with a lot less. I don't use AA filters because they slow down your rendering and when you are working with multi-use output, images and animation you are far better doing image sharpening/blurs in post.
Once I have done all my post look and motion blur, if I still have any interlace popping I apply a fairly standard vertical blur, this stops fine lines disappearing between alternate scan lines. If your intended output is a plasma/lcd display you can get away with far less blur as everything is progressive scan anyway. Vegas should have a standard fast blur for this type of stuff, most packages do, in AE you can use reduce interlace flicker (vertical blur) or fast blur/gaussian in vertical mode.

                      Hey Richard,

Things are going really well. I'm just finishing off a stack of work so I'll post something by the end of the week. I've sent you a PM since this is a little of the topic.

Like CarlosBZ said, thanks for the info above too.

                      Chris.
