Left GPU, only cuase I'm looking at the bin and the reflections and shadows?
    Nice Image though.
    Time difference for rendering?

I'm also guessing left GPU, mainly because of the colormapping of the parquet.

There's something weird going on where the glass meets the window profiles, on the left one.

Contrary to many people's expectations, the one on the left is the original scene rendered with Corona. It took about 2.5 hours with my i9-9900K to reach about 80 passes.

The one on the right is rendered in VRay GPU. It took about 30 minutes on my RTX 4090 (Noise Limit 0.001, Samples Limit 5000, VFB shows passes 146420, I don't know what it means).

I converted the scene materials using MaxTools's V-RayMax Converter PRO, no adjustments at all. Then added a VRay dome light and linked the HDRI environment to it. Finally, some exposure adjustments were done in the VFB.

Looks great. What do you mean by V-RayMax Converter PRO?

its a script you can buy that converts scenes to vray, change colorspaces easily etc...really useful...takes a lot of pain away

I have been battled, and finally cast the wrong dice. ^^
The uneven noise level on the left was my main concern (it would happen with Corona, not with V-Ray, unless one was being obstinate clamping max AA), I should have
                        heeded it.

I'd be keen to see the source Corona scene, and give it a whirl with our converter to see what we can improve.

Great idea Lele. It would be great to improve original vray converter.

                            We haven't ever stopped.
We're aware of the (often self-imposed) limitations to our conversion process, we're trying hard to find better ways forward.
