the roof bump is at 300, I havent really tried displacement on the material but it is worth a try! the shingels now just have a PS sharp mask on them to get the semi look I want.
      Thanks

something looks odd with the lighting, i think your direct light isnt strong enough. Adding some colour to the light will also help

I think the image is seriously lacking General GI .. probably with to much bounce?

I agree about the lighting. Try lowering your secondary bounce or else in the environment slot lower the number to .5 or less and up your direct light and add a little orange/yellow color to it. Play with the settings a little.

The sky is clear, there should be strong sunlight with a fair amount of contrast in the image. It looks like a tropical setting so sunlight should be bright and the whites should be white not grey.

The house and its environment (incl. sky, sea on the left and right, grass, trees and bushes), the indoor lighting and outdoor lighting, are not in consistent with each other, the image looks very fake. I also don't like the color scheme: pink interior, yellow exterior walls and dark blue windows?

Once again the color choice isn't mine...you would know this if you have read the top post! but I will mess with the lightitng to see what I can come up with! I appricate the c &c's they can only make the images better!
                Thanks

If I was to post the file would any of you be willing to show me a great way to set up the scene?
                  Thanks

Sorry Mathew, I didn't see your note about the color on the top of this threat.

Certainly lighting/GI quality could be improved, but I think the major problem is composing. Some reference photos and observation will help capturing the look of the building and its surrounding enviornment in different lighting conditions.

OKay I am now working with HDRI images as my main lighting! and the results are actually pretty cool! I am slowly learning this method but I think I'm grasping it quite quickly! I will post images as soon as I get them!
                      Thanks
