Very good render... the lighting matchs pretty dead on.

I think you nailed the lighting, it really captures the overall glow and overcast lighting of the shot. The glass looks great too.

The only thing that doesn't look right to me is the perspective. The tree next to the foreground of the building doesn't really look three stories tall so it makes the front look a little smallish. And similarly the rear portion of the building is about the same height as the two story building next door. I'm not sure anyone outside of this forum (meaning the client) would probably notice this though.

If you are going to touch this up some more, I would color correct it away from green just slightly, and I would also darken the left side where it is near the tress, with a soft mask. Also the feathering on the gound needs some work.

But I still stand my my lighting comment.

Thanks for the replys guys, you got me thinking about the tree/scale so I did some checking with the site plan which has the tree marked on it. The scale is about right although it even looks a bit odd to me. I think the new building was purposely given a low floor to floor height so that it would not over power the existing old building which actually has quite high floor to floor heights.
I actually did put a mask in the area of the trees to darken that side of the building but I probably didn't move it close enough so there is still a lot of light getting in there. I think your right about the green saturation cpnichols

nice job. while the overall reflections are great, on the glass panels facing the camera, the reflected trees make it look like they should be fairly close to the glass. Basically I would think you would see more sky and a little less tree.

Well spotted Percy, unfortunately the guy taking the photo didn't give me a reverse picture to work with for the glass. Chances are the client won't notice ..I hope.

                    Great job

Great job - where abouts is the building ? Being Irish (in LA 7 years) it makes me homesick. Although not for this architecture - don't get me started, I'm from Sandyford in Dublin and everytime I go home they have shoved another 200 houses into the grounds of a former stately home. I suppose that is the price of the Celtic Tiger and planning officials on the take.
You captured that cold sweet spring atmosphere perfectly with this render great job.
