I am posting because I am impressed with the V-Ray render times on my 4090RTX. 4K in less than an hour!

You need to turn on the ambient occlusion settings and adjust similar to vray production renderer. I have noticed that even if I set my samples to 3k and Noise threshold to .005 it's still grainy. Unless I use the denoiser. How long does it take your n project to load into vram when you render in gpu mode?

It takes a few minutes to start rendering on the GPU. I cranked the sample up tp 3000 in Vantage and still got poor renders. I'll have to play more with it.Bobby Parker

Thank you! No ACES here. I tried that awhile back, and I didn't notice any difference. Do you use it, and if so why?Bobby Parker

The first issue is matching a logo or a color for a client, it is pretty much impossible with ACES. The colors needs to be adjusted in Post
The second issue is about the clamping in the Frame buffer when the data is brought to the display device's gamut. Big chunk of the data is lost and clamped anyway
Whenever one of the 2 issues are addressed or improved(there are plans to do so with upcoming versions of ACES) I will probably visit the workflow again
In your case, you are getting very good quality out of V-Ray with the default sRGB workflow. No need to change anything
Best,
Muhammed
