  • first vray project c&c

well there are some known issues that couldnt be resolved before the deadline. primarily the glass and the cascading water on the courtyard shot. i couldnt seem to get the glass right. i used the egz glass still not quite right. perhaps this is because of a lack of interior items and detail?

any solutions/comments to these problems or other critiques and tips would be greatly appreciated.

    thanks

    Hi , first Welcom Theorem

Well what i see first, is that there´s very few contrast in your Scene. overal light seems nearly as strong as the sunlight.

do you use some kinda exposure control ? this could lead to a very weak sunlight, if you dont have very big differences in sunlight and environement light.

What i also do most time , i use an override environement, because usual environement immages lead to a very overbright environementlight. this will get much better with the new "sunlightsystem", vlado will introduce with 1.5 and also with mapped hdri skydomes.

Well i would try to gett stronger contrasts.

is your glass applied to planes or boxes?

you can get strange effects when applying transparent opjects to single sided planes.

cool, thanks for the comments. so you are saying that i should make my environment multiplier smaller and my sunlight brighter. makes sense. although i was having problems with lighting the more covered spaces. i was trying to achieve an evening effect, so this may have caused this problem. i didnt use exposure controll.

what exactly do you mean by an environment override. i didnt use my emvironment map to provide lighting if thats what you mean.

and yes i did apply glass to plane, ill try with boxes and see what happens.

        thanks again for the comments.
