about the glass reflection: if you do a picture like that in 3d, you want to see a reflection on the glass. if you look at way watches are photographed for advertising, they "never" show reflections on the glass.

the metal of the housing of the original watch is actually made of brushed steel, even a bit rougher then what i did here.
