  • Mountain House Interior Rendering

Here is a rendering of a Living Room in a house to be built in the mountains at a ski resort. It is just above and around a curve from the previous project I posted an exterior of. So it is looking out at the same mountain range for a somewhat different angle.

I will be rendering two more rooms, maybe more. Waiting for client feedback on this one.

As always any critique or comments are appreciated. Thanks!

Looking pretty good I reckon, although a little empty maybe; some more entourage would liven up the space I think

Nice work. Maybe turn the reflection off the lights.

Thank you both for your review. Agree on the chandelier reflection. Kind of looks like a space ship hovering over the mountains. Distracting. I will remove that.

Really nice images. I think the view out the windows needs to be much brighter though. The background should be generally as bright sunlight streaming in at the lower left of your first image-they're all ostensibly lit by the same sun.

Thank you for your comments. These are being used to sell the house pre construction and supposed to emulate professional real estate photography. The mountain views are an important and valuable part of what they are selling. Here professional real estate photographers use hdri with multiple exposures blended together. Views out of windows are no longer over exposed like in the past when using film cameras. That’s what you see in all the slick real estate magazines, advertisements amd etc.

I went to the site and photographed those view angles, those are the mountains that will be seen thru the windows.

This project originally had renderings of these three rooms provided by the architect and done by others. The real estate agent, the interior designer and the developer did not like them. One of their several complaints was that the views shown out the windows were so over exposed and distorted that you couldn’t tell there were mountains or even trees outside.

Agree to disagree then about the exposure out the windows. IMO though, they actually look under exposed, especially on the kitchen shot. If the client is happy then all is good though.
