  • WIP, petrol station

WIP of ESSO petrol station in Ayia Napa, CYPRUS.
I have to give some attention on materials and final composing... but i'
ve attempted to try lighting before this scene fills up with much more details.

I think it is coming along quite nicely, although I have the feeling that there should be much more skylight in the shadowed parts.

                from here: http://www.lowpolygon3d.com/item--Ve...g_065-076.html

But the initial quality of those cars is crap excuse me my french...
We repainted those by hand, mapped high resolution textures, added reflection, refraction on widows, etc...

Very good lighting, I think you just need to play with the VFB to adjust it.
You need also hires car for this kind of closeup.
                    =:-/

                      Hi,

I'm gonna be picky since I had an architect all the day asking me to adjust a brick color, so i'm picky today. I think some little changes can make your image look better, but again it's details

                      1) you should definately adjust your wall brick tiling, it makes me lose the sens of scale around the shop, or maybe it's me, i saw too many bricks today

                      2) please just model the wheel of the jeep or add resolution to it

                      3) right part of the image, background of a little town after some
vegetation, in the carwash, you can see mountain through the window, shocking

                      4) kill the grain

Well that was picky, but the image really looks good, andi think that can make it great

people are really wel integrated and lighting is nice ! congrats

                        Hey Mate,

Just to repeat what i mention to you on msn (mostly been said here already)

                        1. Kill the grain
                        2. Change the tiling of the bricks.
                        3. The bricks seems to lack something, they look too flat, maybe some displacement perhaps?/
                        4. The tyres on that car need to be changed... way to dodgy looking
                        5. The floor of the station looks odd, like the bitmap is too low res, plus i dont think it suits it that much. I think you would be best with a gray-black tarmac or smooth concrete floor with some white painted lines around the pumps or something.
                        6. The store it self seems abit dark inside considering its meant to be open.

I do like the people tho, they seems to blend in nicely with the scene.
heheh and that mountain thru the glass thing needs to be fixed... cant believe I didnt see that the first time.
