    Hello,

I've been tinkering around with this project for a little while now... thus been staring at it for way too long. Haven't really worked with light much, so it continues to be a struggle to get what I'm looking for.

I'm still working on it, but would love to get some new eyes on it to help! Any advice is always appreciated.

the main thing I've noted is the color of the building: is color scheme mandatory? if not I'll try something different...or , at least, I'll try something to improve the black part. It's really impactful. It has a big contrast with background but also it's difficult to understand all the building details...so it's seems a big dark hole that catch all the eye attention.

Yes, for now, those are the proposed colors / materials. This image is at a low res. So, I think rendering at a higher res and having an alpha for the black cladding will help... Is what I'm hoping anyway! I agree though, its hard to see the cladding.. from the flashing.. from the window frames...!

Generally I actually really like it. It's black/orange/greyish....that kinda works for me
An example of what detracts from that is the van lower right. It's prominent because of the logo...takes your eye away, so is distracting, in my view.
Orangey or yellowish cars may frame it better, thematically.

I would say that you need to centre the building a little more....not absolutely centred of course.
I would also say that the snow is off-putting in the way you've added it.
Possibly a better approach would be some heavy dof flakes, just a few, in the foreground, and then some
more background ones in general, but so as not to obscure the focus building, if that makes sense.

There is some halo thing going on with your orange trees..not sure why unless they're comped in later.
Also, maybe dof/fog the scene so the foreground cars are less in focus.
