  • Bleep! Cartoon Character

    Hi all

This is my first post, please be gentle! This chap's name is Bleep! a smoke alarm, the first member of a cast of characters created for the Fire Brigade to bring fire safety awareness and educational materials to kids. C & C welcome (whatever C & C is...)

if you've seen one CG shopping centre, you've seen a mall...

excellent job man! He looks vaguely familiar. Did you do this awhile ago or base his design from something else?

Hehe, nice character. Is he for a fire-aware campaign of sorts? The only thing that bugs me is his teeth being so shiny.

I agree the teeth are a little bit too shiny!

I like the reflections in your scene. Looks very fancy!

                    "who's a little cutie then...".

Only thing I would say is that most of the smoke detectors I have seen are a matt finish plastic and not as shiny as you have shown.
                    Kind Regards,

Well, what a lovely bunch you are. I'm sure you're all going easy on me cos it's my first post, but thank you all the same.

Chris & Austin: yeah, you're right his teeth are a bit too shiny, might sort that on future versions. Reflections are so realistic with VRay, I just can't help myself sometimes! Mind you, what are a smoke alarm's teeth made of? I always thought they were porcelain

Percy: No! Don't say that! As far as I know. it's completely original. If you remember where you think you've seen similar, I'd be interested (and gutted) to see it.

Nik: There are plans for animations, but so far they're being done for web (Flash), with the Swift plugin, so here's probably not the place to post them.

I've uploaded some pics of the next member of the cast here:
