The Fly looks a bit like a technique i recently read in cgtalk´s ParticleFlow Thread. A Particle Flow setup, that fills objects with moving particles wich create splines along their motionpath.

Mathe object are near MX but I don't know what mean this two letter
Grainy look like QMC, do you use it for all? so what are you prefered setting?
It will be cool to know. first second bounce and AA/ QMC sampler...
