the most simple studio-setup ever

I like this pure white effect a lot.
I wanna do a similar studio setup. where ground is pure white. and soft shadows.
I have some questions if you can answer:
1.did u use vraylight material in upper vrayplane?
2. if so, how did u control burning?
I cant make such pure diffuse white ground.

You can archieve similar effect with the BG color, and having the ground as a matte object. I think you can guess all the rest about how to do it.

Or another approach, it seems as though the VRayPlane below the featured object(s) has a glossy, highly reflective material appled. Naturally, if the VRayPlane set above the object had a white, self-illuminated standard material applied, the lower plane would reflect white everywhere that it is not reflecting the featured object(s), creating the infinite white feel found in this scene.

On another note, I always associate soft shadow studio setup to natural objects, such as furniture, and reflective studio setups to tech objects, like the power supply in the above images...but I don't know why.
