  • New interior First image posting

This is my first image upload and I would like feedback.

I have this using irr map and LC low settings for the irr map but QMC is set up to 8 for the gloabal subs. I still have a little "spotchyness" the image as it is took almost 4 hours 800p wide to render. That seemed long so I am going to redo it I had the subs for the gloss metal material set to 50.

Please keep in mind that the modeling is not done. There are many more things to be added and I am waiting for info on the cabinets.

    Cheers

wow. lots of "first posts" recently. cool image. 50 is definately high setting for the glossies. your lighting seems weird though. like you have fill lights in there rather than letting GI do its work

Yeah! I felt that too. I have had trouble getting this room to "lighten up" I have vray lights at each window with a spot behind the camera. I will think about that I think there is something there I am missing.

Just did a rerender with the mat subs at 8 and it took 40 mins. At one point the metal met had many spots on it but increasing the global subs on the QMC Sampler took care of everything.

Exponential color mapping. I think it's 2.6, 2.6 light dark.

HMMM - can't really say I know why those settings are so high. This scene has been dark. I am embarrased I don't know why.

Thanks Percy. You know I have never had the problems modeling that I have had here. This was a pain. The whole thing is on a curve all of the walls are either curved or radiate from a center point. Revisions have been really tough for this, the exterior model is all lofted profiles with power boolean cutouts. And then all of the walls need to have plaster bullnoses wherever there is a corner or a window cut. I realised how much I take for granted doing archi viz work.

I just updated the bathroom image in the prev. post. The hosting site I am using ran out of DL room so had to rearrange some things

Well it's on my end. These were jpgs hosted at a free site that then was limited in DL's and blocked the images after 15m. I am trying it with a different site. Please bear with me for slight technical difficulties.

These are the lastest. I would like some feedback if there is anything that sticks out. These are still progressing. Mostly what I like about how they have changed is using gamma correction. Really makes a difference.

Also that is not a green jello salad but a green glass with leaves and twigs embedded. Behind it is a light source.

                              Thanks
