I just installed MAX 8 and test rendered a recent MAX 7 scene with VRay. Seems to be working just fine.

Yes, very nice indeed, but don't eat those bananas

Nice lighting.
- As mentioned before, the bananas are a bit weird modeling and texturing wise.
- Also the armchairs could do with a bit more softening up...they look like chamfered boxes.
- Magazine seems to be buried in the coffee table
- That bowl could do with a few more polys.
- Overall it's got good lighting but just more work on the details and objects.

Nothing new. This time I did a test with Serge Vasiliew’s excellent interior lightning tutorial (with some tweaking). I’m sure you can find a link to his tutorial on this forum.

Actually this is a zoomed in area on a larger scene. None of these objects are shown up close on the original image so I made them low-poly. I only moved the cam closer for the test renders.
