  • Interiors: Beach Shacks

    Two recent interiors.
Final renders at 3500 x 2660. Some minor CC and colour balance in PS.
Render times are approx. 2-3 hours due to all the glossy reflections.
    All comments are appreciated.

    nice images mate

seems to me to be a scale issue going on here. the chairs in the first dont look big enough to hold my arse and the table is unusual.

the second one seems to have a unusual sized fridge perhaps its a beer can only model ?

is osmosis no more? I noticed your tag being a new web address

nice. hehehe. that beach shack wouldnt last a month on our easy coast. not with all that metal. the salt air down there would have your kitchen looking like a rust bucket

            Hi Vu,

Great Images! Lighting and texturing are very nice. I like the glossy on the feature walls and concrete texture on the floor, both add a lot to the images.
Only thing I noticed is no handles on the old ArchiCAD sliding doors .

              Heya,

Great renders, I like the little green tubs in the 2nd render. Looks really good.
And as for the dark leather couch, that looks great!! maybe a tad shiny and smooth but still great stuff.

I think you should change the topic title - they definately ain't 'shacks'

Nice images. Lighting and materials look great. The models are quite odd though, it is difficult to 'read' the space. Maybe it is because the walls have such sharp edges.

                    Hey Guys,
Thanks for your feedback and comments.

@siliconbauhaus: I double checked the size of the furniture and they seem correct. They were modelled to scale, so it maybe the camera angle putting you off. As this is a small holiday unit, the fridge is deliberately small.
As for osmosis, it's still alive and well.

@CT: Good eye. There are no handles on the sliding doors. However, they were modelled in max, not AC.

@DaForce: Thanks. I'm guessing the green tubs you mean are the tubs with plants in them...The green colour scheme was tricky to make work, but the dark leather couch was the way to go instead of a green one as specified by the architects.

@tricky: the renders make them look bigger than what they are. They are quite tight.

@Gijs: Yeah, I think the space is a bit difficult to read because of the extreme camera angle. Shame we don't have a peripheral vision plugin in max.

                    Thanks again for your comments.

Great Renders... one thing though... the intensity of the sunlight from the front isnt the same as the backgrounds. You might want to consider changing the background image to make it match... Leo
