Ambulance for eventual stills and anims, may need help on headlights and indicators

Hey there - we both have almost 500 hits + zero response to our pleas for forum assistance. I'm going to break the boycott!
Regarding your ambulance I think it looks good but a tiny bit "toy-like" - though im not sure if that was the intention. Perhaps a different, more varied light source would be good - a good HDRI would certainly help. Some environment reflections would be good, especially on the windows. Treads would be good on the tires. Have you added the headlights ?

      Thanks leotchest, my sentiments exactly.

Anyway, early stages of project, going to use it in some hospital images I am doing as I was sick and tired of trying to find images of Ambulances for Photoshop work.
I am new to HDRI's and car modelling, so earnestly practicising!

Tread etc will come in time.

Another image in early stages below.

nice! looking more realistic. what modelling techniques are you using ? bsplines ? Ive never modelled anything other than buildings, so I imagine it would take me ages to build a vehicle. Are you working from blueprints? Back to the ambulance, how did you create the depressions for the headlamps ?

We've got to stop meeting like this,

I like yourself only modelled buildings then thru lack of work I started to mess with poly modelling, fantastic tutorial started me.

Using poly with turbosmooth, low poly model to start with and turbosmooth does exactly that, with great results, I usually start off with a cylinder end for the wheel arch or plane and bend, extrude etc to get to the end result.

The headlamps are faces extruded inwards, with a chamfer to 'hold' the shape.
