WIP radial layer vertical timber stair

My latest personal project
Sequel to my DNA stair I suppose
Stair designed and modelled by me.
Location loosely based on zaha hadid's firestation
I have been waiting for the sky thingy in 1.5 to render this one
It's lacking in something but can't seem to find what.
Tried furniture in it but seemed overcrowded

I was going for a slighly more 'atmospheric' look, rather than my usual nuclear explosion outside look!
The second image could do with a being a touch brighter though, I agree
Need to add something outside though. Kind of forgot about that...

I think you need to add a Slinky(tm) crawling down the stairs.... with motion blur...

Very nice Geoff. I like the close-up best, and especially the ply treads, nice shaders. I reckon Zaha would actually approve of the 'darkness' of the image - suits the brutality of her architecture! You sold any of these DNA's then?

i still cant see how the structure is physically sound. the outter ends of the steps look like they are unballanced

@Priad - I did do a chair the other week
@Da_elf - Think of it as loads of tapering boxes all connected. It does cantilever a bit at the end but only by 300mm. The whole structure acts as one. Send us the slinky(tm) then! I'll stick it in
