  • Office building w(N)ip...

It's a little late for comments as this went out very quickly but I'd still like to hear your comments. Building is a facade rehab of an existing building. All images completed in about 3 days from a floor plan and some rough design sketches (which of course the client got to me on about the last day). Also at the last minute, they asked for rendered version of the original building for comparison (first image). Not a big fan of the rpc plants in the foreground but after everything was rendered the client asked to "punch up" the landscaping a little...

I am happy with the images but wouldn't call them fantastic, so I'm looking for ways to improve. C&C's welcome...

P.S. I think this is my first post of actual images! It's a little daunting seeing the level of work posted here. Oh well, taking the plunge into critiquesville...

      Very nice images.
I've always had a bad time trying to make nice images of industrial buildings, you've got a nice result as I can see, congrats.

BTW, wich version did the client choose at the end?

      Regards,

          Pretty nice work
C: the vegetation is too saturate but it's to criticize something.
Keep it up.....forum is here to share, learn and criticize not to be scary about posting hehe

Thanks everyone. I wasn't shy about posting but realized that in 60 or so posts I've done I don't think I've actually posted an image of my own for comments. Also, I had no hesitation as I've never seen anything but constructive criticism and professionalism from nearly everyone here in these forums (I actually think it's related to it being open to only registered users). I knew I would get either get a "good job" or get real comments that would further refine the images.

twinxel: I don't know which one they have selected but I know the EIFS version is probably cheaper so developers being what they are, they'll probably choose that.

priad: You're right about the saturation on the vegetation, especialy those RED!!! flowers. I adjusted the photoshop'd rpc's and also brightened them up a little and it helped them fit in a little more. Thanks.

              Welcome to Critiquesville...

Nice effort. Renders are sharp and clean. I like the style.

Besides the over-saturation on the plants, couple of other things I noticed were:
              1. Displacement grass going through the concrete kerb.
              2. Trees and flowers should be planted into garden bed and not straight into grass.
              3. People, cars and flowers don't appear in reflections. probably because they have been added in Photoshop.

Minor points really, but otherwise nice work.

Yeah, it's a much better building. It is a little old though and is showing some disrepair.

                        Thanks,
