      WOW!!! That looks sooo beautiful!!!

Do you have some further renderings from "inside" the oasis? I would realy love to see more pictures! Those plants are amazing!

Well - maybe you forgot to activate the AA, right?

      Regards,
Mirko (who might also leave the company where he still works)

          Very nice detailling.
Only comment wouldt be that some of the colors are a bit too vivid and monotonous, and some trees seems to be growing directly through the concrete ( just next to the pool ).
          But very nice images.

And the shadows can't be black like this, you will win in reality with grey shadows IMHO.

Great stuff - nice render times as well with all that geometry.

Where are you moving to in Oz? Another firm I assume or retiring??

              Again awesome stuff as usual.

              Regards Peter.

So you used proxy...but is there a tutorial to explain how to use proxy...I tried but I didn't understand this feature.

                bye

Jacksc02: First off, nice images. Achieving that much variety in landscaping is always difficult. The colors area little saturated though. For my Onyx trees I usually add a color correct modifier on top of the vertex color shader and drop the saturation down to about 70%. It just helps them look a little more natural to my eye.

You never really say how much of the scene is proxies, but you also said though that you animated the trees for wind which would preclude the use of proxies. So if you could run through a quick breakdown of the scene (tree storm geometry vs. tree storm proxies, some vray settings, dynamic vs. static memory, etc) I'd really appreciate and I think everyone would find it very informative. Having that much actual geometry (i.e. not proxy) always seems to kill my render times and I'm curious how you managed to pull it off.

                        Great job.

Great looking images dude!! You must feel pretty good to get a job like that finished before heading off

Have fun moving to Oz... or should I say Aussie? :P

The job was not completely finished before he left .
I spent yesterday adjusting cameras and sending renders. The file is a very large very lazy cow to work with (over 200MB). If jackson doesn’t reply to the setup i will let out as much as i know of it.

Jackson will be missed here, but not as much as we miss Ben Ando (going into engineering ).

Anyone want to join so we can keep up on our supply to Ausi. We are running low on people to send

we will all miss you jacksc , But Bruce will miss you the most

well i will miss you the most cause now i have to learn your skills to make Harmony render

dlparisi as for the scene our render times are not what you would call quick. That on a hp 9300 dual x2 270 workstation with 4 GB ram does 1 frame aprox every hour. As for the geometry over half of the ground bush are vray proxy and the rest are normal tree storm trees.
