    Hiding/unhiding can be avoided by simply turning off "visible to GI" in the vray object properties and cast shadows in the max object properties. Since glass is so transparant the look of it will not change by doing that, you will only let more light trough.

        what about turning up the send/recieve GI for the objects on the inside of the building. I didn't see that mentioned in my skimming.

        I usually end up turning off shadows for renderings like that as well. That was a good suggestion.

        And as far as i know the affect alpha only effects the alpha channel, not the transparency of the object to anything else. Maybe I'm wrong? That's the way I understood it though.
