                  Thanks for feedback,

well, its a close-up photo of the stuff, which is growing in my refrigerator hehe, no - i just wanted to test the SSS Capabilities of Vray and this obj. was perfect for testing the shader.

                  Regards,

hey. That's really something; to catch all the photographic attributes but still let it be unrecognisable

                    lovely- uncanny

                          Rendertimes....

I hoped, that nobody would ask for it.....

ok, taking deep breath...about 9 hours on a Dual DualCore Operton 1800 Workstation. GI pass went through really fast..(about half an hour...), but the glossy-DOF Stuff took quite long...I am currently experiencing some problems, when i do try to render a little bigger. Rendertime suddenly explodes (in Pre-Pass Period) by just switching to 100 pixels bigger image...I am just researching this problem,

                          Regards,

                          Thomas

That rendertime should go down a LOT when you have access to the new fastSSS shader they showed at Siggy last year.

Now to figure out how to use the FastSSS

Nice looking images, render times are a killer at the moment though!
