Well, mike, there are cachacas of all kinds, even the funny ones with poisonous snakes in the bottle (I've seen some in remote areas in the countryside...). The darker ones have more flavour so I would hardly reccomend you to waste them making caipirinhas though!

cahcaca tasting is more than art or science... it's a religion!

well i think the color comes mainly from the sugar...wich is brownish...
