  • Exterior round four

One of the nice things about a client who re-designs the scheme several times is that you get a chance to do a bit more tweaking than usual...the downside is the max file becomes a complete dog's dinner! (especially if like me you go for fudge-the-mesh rather than rebuilding it as you know you should)

Thought I'd see what you lot thought.

    Thanks,
    Dougie

There's a nice overall quality - but the perspective is enormous

        great!

it seems a little too dark on the shadow areas.
and yeah...i like some near plane objects like ur leaves, but they should be...erm...fited diferentely(?)...and out of focus.

        nice one!

Nice lighting...but I think you should use the camera correction.

                  Very nice render!
As it as been said, the leafs in front don’t look very good. Try blurring them a bit. Also the bushes on the left side need a little tweaking, it its perceptible that they’ve been cut in “photoshop” and don’t blend very well with the sky. Apart from that it is a very good render.

thanks for the replies, absolutely right on the leaves!! (DOH!, or should I say DOF)....looking too long at the image, couldn't see the wood for the..erm...

@cpnichols, yeah HUGE curved glass (tho architect is unsure if the client can afford it yet, oh the joy of bluffing it!), Oh, & your approval of my work has made my day!

                      Nice rendering Dougie,

One question, was the rendered in one pass, or did you do an interior rendering and seperate exterior rendering and splice together in Photoshop?

I can't seem to get my light to transfer well through glass at all. But I don't ever use QMC as most of my stuff ends up animated. Thanks!

great work, lots of detail. I would make the camera target point a bit lower, or else use the camera correction modifier as already suggested.

For the left hand side of the image i would consider putting a nice 3D tree in there to frame the image a bit better, possibly with some nice shadows being cast

@CXStudios, yeah rendering was all one pass, but i removed the glass to the roof lights over the pool & the window you’re looking through is a standard mat- which seems to help in this situation. Thanks for your comments.

Incidentally i did use some camera correction, you should have seen it before!!!!, maybe just not enough though!

                          Thanks,
