Lovely space. I love the decorator's touch. The Rousseau painting harmonizes nicely with the earthy greens. Very good.

There is a little dark artifact just over the door frame that could be edited out.

Very good work. Great scene and lighting. The texturing is really good. The only things I would change are the rug, the bedspread and the camera parallax.

Thanks for the kind words and suggestions.

Infrared digital : Actually, the ref pic there is not a door...but does seem strange, now that you mention it. Ill have to consider it.

I do still have to fill the cabinets...not much time these days for personal projects....
There has not been any post work done yet. I probably won't untill final render.

Fran : I had the vray displ/mod turned in this render...still needs tweeking.
What did you meen by "camera parallax". Im always looking for good advice....so thanks for the c&c, all.

            Regards,
            Mike

Are you using the camera correction? looks to me like you need to hit the guess button.
check the door surround to the left of the image, perspective is angled oddly.

              like the painting too

                Guess button ?

What is the best way to get the perspective that you want without the camera distortion/skewing ? It always seems that the camera is to big or something for the scene.

                Thanks,
                Mike

Wow that looks very good. Excellent. Only two things I'd say:

                    1) Blue sky in left window needs to be brighter to be more convincing light coming into room is bright.

                    2) Painting could use either a slight bump or grayscale map in reflective/highlight glossiness channel (I forget which one) to seem more paint like.

                      Thanks jujubee.
I will brighten the sky in PS upon final render. It definately looks strange right now.
Good call on the bump for the painting...looks like a print, now that you mention it.
I am always interested in others comments and suggestions. Improving the work is what it is all about for me. And, might I add, the response in this community is awesome.

                        Hi mmikee,
                        Very nice image!
I hope you are not going to mind, I streched bottoms of the pic to the left and right in Photoshop. Guess that camera thing might be slightly corrected

                        Regards

It certainly looks better after the post you did.
Any tips on how to correct this before the render ?

                          Regards,
