hum...maybe there s too much contrast....the shadows are too dark(?)
oh....and either the people are huge, or the cars are too small....can t quite point that one...its a some sort of scale/distortion problem that i cannot figure out...
    other than that great job!

I would tend to agree with ene.xis on the shadows beeing to dark. But nice renderings keep us updated.

Thanks for the comments so far. How do you normally control a shadow's density/darkness in vray?

        Thanks

Nice work, but the scale problem is pretty big.

The cars and people make the buildings look like big doll houses.
If the people are at the right scale, then those floor are about 7 feet clear, which is way too short.

the people should probably be 20 to 30% smaller.

          Nice, strong light, anyways.

          regards

I disagree. The buildings may be just slightly small... or the people too big... but don't shrink the people's scale without also shrinking the cars. The ratio looks spot on to me. If you make that woman any smaller she'd look better in a go-cart not that small SUV.

I think it looks pretty nice, my own preference is for softer shadows, but that is just taste. One thing I definitely feel like is the SUV is way to close to the center of the canvas making it look too much like a car commercial.

I think I would move the SUV to the drive area in between the buildings like it is driving in (or out). It gets it out of the center of the view and if half of it is disappearing around the front building than it further emphasizes the distance between these two buildings.

I feel like the people are slightly too big in relation to the units, but I have a feeling that the reason I feel this way is that all the houses in my area have their ground floor at least three or four feet above exterior ground level so I am used to windows at a higher height.

thanks for all your comments on this image - i tend to agree with most of you re the cars and mainly the SUV - I think I'll re-do the image and try to get the scaling right on the BMW - may even move it completely to another position as jkletzien has suggested.

well just trial error test ur balance betwen a strong ambient blue and a strong direct orange with a near white vray material...using linear workspace.
about the cars...they honestly seem to have been scaled under da Z axis...?
                  keep us posted...

                    i like it,
i agree with previus post, the shadows are really dark and the wheels on the TT are way too bright. But who cares about the cars, it is the building that you are selling.
