    Some nice stuff...

I have to say that although the people on the right sit very nicely in the image, the people on the left are insanely bright & lit from the wrong direction. Plus everyone looks a little large to me.

    The ivy looks top though!

In your second image there seems to be some issues with the flowers at the base, they look far too dark/desaturated. There's some oddness with the bushes in the background too.

I use the scatter tool a lot for ivy and plants and it's been working great for me. The only suggestion is that they look a little too well trimmed, since the leaves seem to be in a box or plane. Draw a rough profile of the ivy shape (solid on the bottom with tendrils going up the wall) and scatter your leaves on that. You can see an example at here; the gabion wall ivy in the front was done from scattered leaves on a shape built in AutoCAD.

nice! it's a good technique - i've used it recently on a project where i had to create some topiary bushes and found it to work really well.

have to agree with the comment about the people on the lh side of the visual - the one to the right looks like a bit like a man in drag!

This is exactly what I thought. Very distracting!
