  • my amphora- texturing study

    hi
    this is an amphora.
it is used to carry wine or olive oil in the archeological times.
sometimes they are found buried under ground or sometimes in ship wrecks.
I made this studio setup to study some texturing.
it is the first time I unwrap and create my own texture.
I made all diffuse and glossy and displacement maps on PS.
    and rendered with vray.
    all crits are welcome

I wanna party with the person swilling out of this two handed vessel. "Ya baby!"

Nice rendering! Cracks and chips would be nice, but I know the feeling of being bored of looking at the same little model too long and feeling that it's time to move on.

Jeez you'd think you'd clean some of that crap off it before you were going to show it to anyone...

did you use a wacom (or similar) to paint the maps?

Very nice! Any chance of showing us some of the 'unwrapped' textures? Just curious.....

I drank from something that looked alot like that last night. Oh, my head hurts for some reason today.

Mybe the specular could be broken up a bit with a seperate map in the rough areas, but all in all quite well done.
