Haven't posted for a while. Here's a NPR attempt. Vray toon for the outlines. Lots of PS. I know the room is kinda empty.

NICE!! I would maybe tone the 'splotchiness' down a little, I find it a bit too distracting. Maybe blowing out the light a little from the ceiling would give the image a little bit more of a lift too.

I like it, it would be nice to render an animation using this style, it would be kind of Beyond the dreams, so painterly...

            Edit!

There´s a plugin for AE called video gogh, which could provide excellent results!

Should've tried to guess it myself.

Thanks all. I too was curious about animating this style so I recreated close to the same setup in the viz mat editor using mix maps and masks. The brush stroke PS affect causes noise in the animation (like they always do) but I still like it. The white splotches might be too much but they are integral to the watercolor look I'm after. The animation is probably a little too dark overall.

great work. one criticism though is you have some sort of large noise on the walls that are moving through the animation. Prolly used a 3d noise map.

Thanks. The large noise is an overlay made from difference clouds in PS that is static. Haven't come up with a better solution yet. Anyway the client currator is sold on this style so I generated some other views for a fund raising brochure. Also an image from another wip using the same process.
