This is my first image post to the forum (despite the fact I've been on here every day for quite some time now). Any feedback would be great.!

Did this pretty quick a while ago and have been meaning to go back and clean some stuff up (some of the 'wear' on the siding looks a bit regular, and there was an issue with some of the roof polygons I need to clean up.

Grass is Vraydisplacement, so is the siding.

    very very nice!!!
Really like it. Grass works well too.

The only thing that catches my eye is the glass of the little outter room there. Its got some funny patterning on it and just seems weird.

    Sweet render man.... sweet

Whoa! Very nice! The funny thing on the outer house windows doesn't really bother me. Originally I thought it's a screen window of some sort. But then again, it does have some reflection so can't be screen...

nice one! the background doesnt quite match the render. The direct light on the house is quite strong and you would expect the trees in the background to match the strong light

          really nice render.
I agree with Chris about the background - could match better.
The glass in the door looks different from the windows too - is there a reason for this? Is it modelled/textured differently? the reflection seems very strong, similar to the sunroom

Thanks for the feedback - I'll actually have to go back and look to see what that pattern in the glass is. I want to say it's some moire pattern made by the wall surface underneath.

And good catch with the reflections - it wasn't modeled any differently, but I had a bunch of photo planes set up to match up the interior views I did... I may have left one or two of them on and that's what's getting reflected.

You all might recognize the background - it's one of the standard Max ones. I ended up using it because the perspective was somewhat close. It's also one of those tough rendering decisions - the background could be brighter, but it makes the house stand out more... the sky in the original was cloudier (I believe) and I replaced it, I don't know I just liked the contrast and kind of mirror-effect of the green grass and the blue sky.

At least now that my HDR photo setup is working (although I could use a wider angle lens) I'll be able to use that for backgrounds.
