it looks good...but maybe the light could be...stronger and more colored.
there are some splotches there but it s a wip and i think ur aware of those, as the modeling part i think the stairs look too thin too me and the the rest looks really good...
some minor details: the floor looks strange. either the slabs should be bigger, or they should take atention to intersections, like where the column base meets the floor, if there isn t some special slabs, they could at least match....i think. and that chandlier looks strange....
    very good wip

Looking good......the capitals look a bit flat and I agree that the chandalier is a bit strange.

thanks for the comments so far -

as you can see from the original photo the space is quirky to say the least (espc the thin stairs!)

Any advice on modelling the chandeleier more accurately would be greatly appreciated - at the moment its just mapped.

the way i see it if the chandlier is that important just model it....if not....well u ll to find maybe another way to fake it...

i took a look at the drawings, and it s not that complex...it might be really tricky to fake it nicelly....i guess

I see you solved your "art" problem from a previous post. How did you do it? Do you have a render showing more of it?

                hi,

                Thanks for the interest -

I used a combination of poly paint and some bump.
                Heres the image

well it would be easy enough to model one of those little glass pieces then just clone it around a circle and build the basic support structure around that.
But your render time may suffer due to all the refractions and light bounces inside that glass.
