Hey, thanks for the comments .
I was able to get away with skylight (same as background image with
+4 multiplier) and a direct light with vray shadows. There is also a vray light behind the glass in the fixture in the kitchenette area with
LC=2000 + IR medium preset 70 subdivisions. QMC image sampler,
noise .001. I will increase the settings on the final render.
I do still need to adjust the background in the second image. I havent quite gotten to the bedrooms or the bathroom yet.
Is this a real project by any chance? I started a large, 5 building highrise project in the Denny Regrade years ago. Can you share some info? I'd like to see how good old Seattle projects are coming along.
Now that I look closer at the background, this has got to be a 50 story building! And its got to be located in Lake Union. Cool. Sleepless in Seattle plus 50?
I would make the environment outside alot brighter, right now the windows look like a poster glued up to the walls. The sun outside should be much brighter than the man-made light inside.

Ha! Remember, that is Seattle, not LA. That is as bright as it gets.
Edit: All the joking aside, those really are very nice looking interiors.
