    Hi all,

This is the first time I post any work here. I would like to hear your comments/critics, specially how to improve them. These were done in max/vray

    Thanks for looking.

Nice renderings! My only crits are your vehicles seem a little washed out and lack contrast and the sign in the bar (3rd image) looks to pasted and bright.

      Hi Henry,

I agree about the cars, how would you fix that? do I make the maps darker? and about the bar sign, its supposed to be a projector screen or a flat panel, so I guess it needs to glow a little.

Since the cars look like they already have reflections and lighting applied in the diffuse, you might try a vraymtlwrapper with generate and recieve GI set to 0 on top of a standard material with your bitmap in the diffuse channel and some self illumination, maybe start @ 70-80 for the self illum. It is the "RPC" approach, but that is the way it works with a photo-mapped object that already has light and environment interaction built into the diffuse.

yeah, the sign looks more like a bright corporate street advertisement rather than a flat panel screen. If you could tone down the brightness a bit somehow, or give it some depth, it might look less radioactive.

Nice start....though the repeating fountains must be taken care of....they are very distracting.

yes, the people are all ayxz.

cristoforo, whats distracting about the fountains? color you mean, or the basic shape...had a real hard time finding a half decent pic to cut the water jet off from. do you know of any company that sells these?

They all have the same exact shape. And, they seem a bit flat....they do not seem to be a part of the image. RPC has fountains....with these you can have different variations.
