    hello,
i started this in the middle of last week after i wrapped up a project....so i had some time to play. i'd like to add a little more detail but things are getting busy again and i'll probably have to call this one done. i plan to print/frame the black& white version. about 90% was modeled in autocad.
    comments welcome.
    thanks,
    -joe

looks really fantastic. only two crits - possibly a little DOF on some grass back there. Also some vignetting (darkening) around the edges of an 'old' photo. Then it would be perfect to me.

            Thats great!!! very cool.

Only thing that gripes me is the wood used for the roof of the house and the well.. it just seems too thin.. almost balse like.

But apart from that.. really really nice

                  All looking great.
Like the last one very much. Add some more night-sky-light. Maybe try to simulate a moon-type lighting.

                  Best regards,

                      thanks for the comments.
is there a way to get the hair and fur mod. to work with vray? it seems like it completely ignores vray's shadows. i used it for the grass and made it work in post.

Go to rendering pull down menu->effects. Select the Hair and Fur effect, down in the options there is a dropdown box that says "buffer". Change it to "Geometry". Watch your render times go through the roof.

                          Love the nighttime shot

I really love the nighttime shot - as a set designer I would say that the daytime stuff is getting a little cluttered, this is me being a picky bastard of course, at nighttime it really comes alive. I have some shots I took on the set of Carnivale, up North from Los Angeles ( could forward some of them to you for reference if you like) , your atmosphere for this dust bowl era Grapes of Wraith shack is bang on.

                          Great work

great work, the only thing that i dont like are those flags, they somehow look strange to me.
