  • Be nice

My fist image post.... be nice. I have been reading for about a year and have read some pretty harsh comments of post that are not top quality. Some of you guys need to come out of the basement once in a while and get some people skills .. having said that... comments and suggestions welcomed. This image has no post 100% Revit 1.5CR2.

Looks fine to me...but you might want to tweak your asphalt material a little just to make it more realistic.

It seems as though the bricks are out of scale, maybe scale them down a bit. Great looking image though

I usually do all that stuff in post.... do you have any good asphalt tips? Most of the tips have been post. The brick and siding are out of scale... someone else on another forum found that. thanks for the replies.

          Your avatar is pretty creepy.

Your model and lighting look good. Glass material looks great. The wood siding looks a litte strange to me (distorted).

Did you say you rendered this in revit with a VRAY plugin? I have never seen a revit rendering look this good.

I like man, but withan avatar like that you should have not titled it "Be Nice" but rather "Dont be cruel"

Anyways I like the lighting alot, what did you use, Vray Sun Sky? etc. the ashphalt lets it down but thats minor, increase the mapping and decrease the blur on the bitmap rollout, Are they precedural bricks, they look too smooth almost plastic, a decent map would sort that out, you should try this for bricks http://www.beldenbrick.com/ (make you own jpg files)
Once this is composited in I reckon you'll have a sweet image.

Good work, u should post more.

and the bushes should be growing out of mulch perhaps, instead of grass.

and add some brackets to the downpipes, it's always the attention to detail that pays off.

              very nice image btw.

The model was built in Revit and exported as a DWG... imported into MAX 8 with VRAY 1.47. I used HDRI and I direct light with VRay Shadows. The bricks were done using belden online brick creator.... I need to work on the material settings... any tips for VRAY Bricks? I'll work more on the landscape and post a follow up with all your tips. I'll also look for a new aviator!

Good for post drinking drunken telly watching....and morning after telly watching when you can't remember who you are, which doesn't happen after you have kids by the way.

Oh....forgot to say good work - like the grass.

nice work. Only comment is regarding the bricks that they dont look 100% right to me. Maybe the grout lines are too thick or it needs more bump to the actual brick surface ...not sure. I think using a photo of a brick wall as your texture may work better that that online generator

everything else looks good...it may need a bit more filler in terms of planting and road detail but overall i think its very good. Better than what im diong to be honest

                        Brick

you are correct about the brick. I'll need to revisit this within the next couple months. I'll post an update.
