Cubes

Hi all,
Here i tried to make some cubes from styrofoam....Something with the displacement is not proper...i can see my displacement only at the brightest sides...Maybe that is normal...Whatever... I wanted to share it

It is still work in deep progress...

Looks to me like you only have bump mapping, and not any displacement.

Or very mild displacement combined with very low GI settings.

The first reason seams to be the mild displacement...0.02cm...

I think a lot of the problem is lighting. Add a fill light to catch the right side of the cubes and the displacement should be more obvious. To me the problem is that your corners are too crisp for styrofoam.

It looks more like those acoustical ceiling tiles you see in most offices and schools. I like it!

I can't vouch for it, I tried doing tests which didn't go so well, I am now moved over to 1.5 and it can make a big difference with some of these older materials.

10x man....I have tried yesterday a couple of things...
I think that i will make first the room...
It is a room for private drawing lessons, which man can still somewhere...

Hey man, to make your styrofoam cubes more realistic, I would chamfer the edges a little.
