  • current project...

    hello friends....

here some images from our latest project.
three apartment houses in germany, south of munich.
animation comes later, renderservers all running
last image will become the penthouse.

all trees are proxyobjects, the grass is a simple displacement-map.
lightning: only vraysun and vraysky, no hdri.
    some evermotion models
and post in PS, a little bit glow and sharpness filter.

    hope you like it.
    critics and comments are welcome.

    regards
    chris

the 1st image is spot on imo!
    congratulations!

the 3rd seem to me like its lacking some luminace power on the 2nd bounce!i d bet if u tune ur colormapping u d get some more balanced light situation!
gr8 work nevertheless, and i m waiting for that animation!

      Nice work!

Something about the 2nd image seems odd to me though; the green roofs seem to be on the same plane as the ground. Maybe brighten them or change the displacement texture?

Nice Renderings. The scale of your grass material seems a little to large and I agree with the previous comments that the grass on the buildings aswell as the ground look like there on the same plane.

                    thank you for your comments....
the gras on the roof really needs some tuning, but our client like it
the animation is finished now (1650 frames!!))...I will make an upload tomorrow.

                        Sweet.

What were your render times like? System Specs? Where are those trees from?

                            very nice work!

Ive noticed the same thing with displacement grass... At ground level it can look perfect, but when you go to an aerial view it appears a lot darker. One solution I had for this was to reduce the displacement amount for the aerial as it seems to brighten it up a bit. Maybe someone else who knows more can comment further on that

Really like the first image...pretty much perfect IMHO

Yes, also depends on light direction, shadows I guess.

Nice images lightpixel, love the first one.
