    Hello everyone, I'm posting this WIP exterior image for some C&C.



    I am very comfortable with my Interior lighting techniques, but when it comes to exteriors I have a problem with photo realistic lighting.

    This is a test render, I'll add vray displaced grass in the final render, but I'm not happy with the overall lighting. I have the sun set to 1, and controlling exposure with VrayPhysicalCam. Also using HSV exposure and have VraySky in environment slot.

    As for the glass, the planes are shell'd, but they are too clear for my tastes. Also whats the secret in getting nice clean reflections in ALL the windows ?

    Any C&C is very welcomed and appreciated !

    For reflections in the glass I use planes with contextual images mapped onto them sitting in the scene - turn off visible to camera, GI, etc

    I would suggest increasing the sun intensity multiplier of the VRay Sky to get more ambient light and possibly raise the height of the sun.

      Great trick on the glass reflections, thanks !

      I did so many test with the sun/sky and just didnt get the results I wanted. I reverted back to the 0.5 GI lights + Big target direct light as the sun.

      Here's an update of the image :

      The grass in the for ground has been enhanced in photoshop but the rest is all vray.

      Anyone have ideas on how to make random / patchy grass ?
