  • WIP - Tamiya Avante Body modelling- UPDATED !!!

    Hi all,

a friend of mine (a Sketchup poweruser) was looking for someone to draw the body of his Tamiya Avante Radio controlled car. I took the job (for free ) and here is a small wip of it !

You can see his work on this link (sorry if linking other forums is not allowed) http://www.pushpullbar.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4821

And a first rendering of it !! (quick studio setup 2 vray lights / New Blend material blue base with small gloss + one sharp falloff reflex coating)

              Update !

The work is progressing well ! Model of the upper body 95% finished, underguard also finished. I've integrated the mechanical part modelled in sketchup by my mate.

Still a Wip, materials were done from scratch at last minute, and so are quite simple, no textures. Lightning need some tweak etc.

              Enjoy, c&c are welcome

              Futre steps :

Finsish the mechanical parts (some screws are still missing) not my work
Finsh the upper body & texture
Textures (carbon, tires, brushed metal etc.)
              Perfect studio light

I've never puts bones & rigs on a model, so it may be intresting to try on this one.. but that's for a far far away future

and a picture of the original car of my mate (shelf queen !!! )
