The breakdown will most likely need a bit, just a few hints :

There was no Black CL available for Shooting, so every Black CL is Full CG.
The Bridge Shot that shows the Black one overtaking the silver one is completely CG, as well as all the night scenes with the black one. The Packshot (both the rolling and the last one) are also completely CG, as well as the interior nightshot.

The breakdown(s) will explain things in more detail tho.

Kind Regards and thanks for all the nice words,
        Thorsten

Awesome work! Jawdropping! Next you're going to tell us the waterfall was CG too

@Morbid : We actually used this Project as a testbed for Panoramacreation. We had both a Spherocam and a Photographer to create stitched panoramas, that were stitched inßhouse by Jan Kiesel. We kinda abandoned Spherocam now as it´s just not usable on-set, or at least it makes things very difficult, and sometimes is very limiting. The night Environment is a custom created HDR that consists of different Places in Shaghai.

                Regards,
                Thorsten

I envy you. This is some really nice work, and it looks like a lot of fun to do. Plus, you guys are doing a commercial that airs on Dec. 4th for my favorite videogame series.

I will be keeping my eyes peeled for it

*runs back to finish up some ho-hum commercial arch-vis*

Really really great. The making off has been so interesting.

BUT! I have a further request. I realise of course that time is never a 3D guys best friend, but what would be amazing is to take one of the 100% CG shots, and do a small video/tutorial on just how you came to have such a photo real image. ie what was your light solution, some render settings(if not too cheeky to ask) what elements did you render and how did you comp them together in Nuke, with maybe a little explanation of the various controls you have using the elements to change the render.

Don't shoot the messenger if this request is FAR to cheeky, but I'm only asking cos I know I am interested, and the rest of the forum is thinking the same I'm sure.

Heya Thorsten - Just curious again about the panorama stuff? I've got some car stuff coming up but the main idea is that the story is told with shots being reflected in the cars surface up close - it's being shot on film but since there's movement it rules out hdri stuff - were you using your panoramas to light everything in this spot? It definitely seems the right way to go but I can't use it in this case :/
