Hi all, this is a wip for my interior office, comments are welcome!
I have to finish texturing all the objets...
    I used viz +vray1.5

I found that it's dificult to work with a black floor.

hmmm looks like there are no shadows inside at all. Or really low IR map settings, everthing seems to be floating like it was all added in photoshop.

Is the metal beam across the roof meant to be black?

Environment looks good, but i think the lighting/rendering needs some tweaking.

      Hi

All looks a little flat dude ... you need to work on your vray materials .. get some highlights going on, and improve on your lighting. Try to create pockets of light emiting from the exterior to the interior, Create an atmosphere..

Yes my problem in this scene is the black floor, I use a grey material for the GI, but It doesn't work well.

            Hi

I still think your problem is your materials and your light distribution.
You have now light fittings in the ceiling but you have a lot of light in the space, so the realism is affected.. Try burst light in through the glass and use low multipliers for the internal lights you are using to create an atmosphere.

              Good start dude ,
              some other points:
-your cables are in the wall, which disturb me a lot
-try to start your lighting with just a sun and an environment at first then you'll add some others needed light.
-try to check your floor tile.
-I'm not sure about your color mapping used, the table on the front seems washed out.

BTW this office seems to became a great place to work hehe

the image looks too lit like some other said, giving it a flat look (not enough contrast)

check to make sure the advanced lighting exposure settings for Max/Viz radiosity is off.

If it is, I think you need to tweak the way the light is getting into that space, there just doesn't seem to be enough contrast between shadow/light.

ya it just needs more localized lighting. I feel like the colors/materials, will look better when the lighting gets better. I originally also wanted to comment on the beam thingy, but assumed you wouldn't overlook its obvious jutting out of the wall.

isn't that funny. Everything looks great until you add the materials. Good materials are sure important. Have you checked out

That beam is gorgeous... why are they ruining it by putting a wall through it like that? They're gonna crack the wall plaster as the beam expands/contracts with heat.

At least there should be some kind of little disk or plate where the cables intersect the wall...

Your greyscale looks great, But I do agree with glorybound, some work needs to be done with some of the materials....
